A Year 2 English writing extension task in which students write an end-of-year summer postcard to next year's class. Across four stages, students think about a reader who was not there, decide what would help them most, cut unnecessary words from sample sentences, draft and trim a postcard to about forty words, then draw the picture side with a short caption. Teacher notes are included.
Part of the "Writing for the End of the Year" sub-unit. Aligned to AC9E2LY03, AC9E2LY06, AC9E2LE05 (Australian Curriculum v9).
Students will:
