Reaction Type Dominoes

Year 9 · Science · Game · $4.99 AUD

A Year 9 chemistry card game in which pairs or small groups match reaction types and their evidence using a loop of domino tiles. Students identify gas tests for hydrogen and carbon dioxide and classify acid–metal, acid–carbonate, neutralisation and precipitation reactions, justifying each match aloud, then design their own closing loop in an extension round.

Part of the "Chemical Reactions in Action" sub-unit. Aligned to AC9S9U07 (Australian Curriculum v9).

Students will:
• Classify chemical reactions by type
• Match gas tests to the gases they identify
• Justify each match using chemical evidence
• Design a question loop including combustion and precipitation

A ready-to-teach game, supplied as PDF, editable Word (DOCX) and PowerPoint (PPTX).
