Year 2 · Science · Activity · $3.99 AUD
A Year 2 science fair test activity investigating which kind of paper is the hardest to tear. Students predict, test newspaper, printer paper, card and tissue, keep the test fair by using same-sized pieces, record their order from easiest to hardest, then compare results with their prediction and with another group before asking a new question.
Part of the "Fair Testing and Choosing Materials" sub-unit. Aligned to AC9S2I01, AC9S2I02, AC9S2I05 (Australian Curriculum v9).
Students will:
• Make and record a prediction before testing
• Keep a test fair by changing only one thing
• Compare results with predictions and other groups
• Pose a new question from an investigation
A ready-to-teach activity, supplied as PDF, editable Word (DOCX) and PowerPoint (PPTX).
