Place That Matters - Guided Art Project

Year 6 · Arts · Activity · $5.49 AUD

A Year 6 visual arts guided project where students create a finished artwork of a place that matters to them. Working from a brief and thumbnail through step-by-step task cards, they sketch a composition using thirds, build value and texture with hatching, stippling or frottage, add colour and collage, refine the focal point and reflect on their choices.

Part of the "The Art Project" sub-unit. Aligned to AC9AVA6C01 (Australian Curriculum v9).

Students will:
• Follow studio steps to create a resolved artwork
• Use techniques such as hatching and frottage on purpose
• Apply composition principles to create a focal point
• Refine an artwork against a project brief

A ready-to-teach activity, supplied as PDF, editable Word (DOCX) and PowerPoint (PPTX).
