A Foundation visual arts lesson plan on colours and how they make us feel, the second lesson in a Making Marks sequence. Children mix red, yellow, blue and white paint to discover new colours, then choose a feeling card such as happy, calm or sleepy, paint a patch of colour for it and tell a partner why they chose it. Teacher notes and differentiation are included.
Part of the "Discovering What Materials Can Do" sub-unit. Aligned to AC9AVAFD01, AC9AVAFC01 (Australian Curriculum v9).
Students will:
• Mix two primary colours and name the new colour
• Choose a colour on purpose to match a feeling
